Redemption Ministries World Wide

Redemption Ministries International Headquarters is located at Eastern By pass Port Harcourt, Rivers State, a few minutes drive from the NDDC Headquarters. Our Vision: is to Preach Christ and all that He came to accomplish for humanity

Our Mission is to launch out globally with the total gospel of the total man, thus raising faithful men who will in turn raise a continuous generation of faithful and militant saints for God’s kingdom. For over thirty-eight years now, we have faithfully kept the faith, fighting on manfully to depopulate hell and populate heaven through soul saving targeted programs.

Our Founder of blessed memory, Rev. Stephen Akinola, was a visionary leader with a large heart for God. He made no pretends in wholly dedicating his all and all for the progress of the work. His selfless services, sacrifices to known and unknown families remain indelible in the annals of this great ministries.

Rev. Cletus Desmond, the current General Overseer is only three years old in the scheme of affairs and by the mercies of God, he has maintained an excellent trajectory of the spiritual record his boss bequeathed to him. Like the Rechabites who will not dare to compromise no matter who is involved, he has, with his lieutenants kept the faith, maintained a strong spiritual legacy and vowed not to shift the old landmark. Redemption Ministries, teaches the whole truth and depends on the Bible as our sole compass.

Currently we have Assemblies all over Port Harcourt and its environs and Branch Churches in some of the states of the federation and a few abroad. It is always a refreshing experience worshiping with us at any of our Branches, Assemblies or at the International Headquarters. You can reach out to us through any of our social media handles and we will be glad to have you.
While we anxiously await Christ’s return, remain in Him.

“Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine, continue in them for in doing this thou shall both save thyself, and them that hear thee” (1 Timothy 3:16).

Below are tenets of our faith as revealed in God’s infallible WORD the Holy Scriptures. The Scriptures teach, and we believe.

I. The Holy Bible

That the Holy Bible, consisting of 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament, is the inspired Word of God. We take the Bible as the final authority in all matters concerning Christian conduct and living. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19.

II. The Godhead (Divine Trinity)

That the Godhead consists of three separate, distinct, and recognizable personalities and qualities, perfectly united in one: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. They are different Persons in the Godhead, not merely three names or manifestations of one Person. Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 John 5:7.

III. Virgin Birth of Christ

The virgin birth of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, His crucifixion, death, burial, and bodily resurrection. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 1:4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

IV. Total Depravity

The total depravity, sinfulness, and guilt of all men since the Fall, rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation. Psalm 51:5; Job 14:4; Romans 3:23; 5:12-17; Mark 4:21-23; Ephesians 2:1.

V. Repentance / Salvation

That repentance is a complete turning away from all sins and deceitful pleasures, required from every sinner before he can truly and effectively believe in Jesus with saving faith. Proverbs 28:13; Isaiah 55:7; Ezekiel 18:21-23; Mark 1:15; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 2:38; 3:19-21; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Hebrews 6:1-3.

VI. Justification

That justification (or regeneration) is the act of God’s grace whereby one receives forgiveness and remission of sins, and is counted righteous before God through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus. Psalms 32:1-2; Romans 3:24-30; 5:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9.

VII. Redemption / Deliverance

That redemption from the curse of the law, healing of sickness, and continued health are provided for all people through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. Exodus 15:26; Psalms 103:1-5; Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-16; Galatians 3:13-14.

VIII. Restitution

That restitution is making amends for wrongs done against fellow men, restoring stolen things, paying debts, confessing to the offended, and apologizing to those slandered, to have a conscience void of offence toward God and man. Exodus 22:1-7; Luke 19:8-9; Acts 24:16.

IX. Christian Dressing and Adornment

That Christians are to adorn themselves in modest and decent apparel befitting people professing godliness, not conforming to worldly fashion. 1 Timothy 2:9-10; 1 Peter 3:1-4; Deuteronomy 22:5; Genesis 35:1-4.

X. Water Baptism

That water baptism is essential to obedience after reconciliation with God. It is one immersion “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,” as commanded by Jesus. Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 6:4-5.

XI. The Lord’s Supper

That the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Jesus Christ for all believers to partake of regularly to show the Lord’s death till He comes. Matthew 26:26-29; Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30.

XII. Sanctification

That entire sanctification is a definite act of God’s grace, subsequent to the new birth, whereby the believer’s heart is purified and made holy. John 17:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 5:22-24; Hebrews 10:10-14; 1 Peter 1:14-16.

XIII. Holy Ghost Baptism

That the baptism in the Holy Ghost is the enduement of power from on high, accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; John 7:37-39; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

XIV. Personal Evangelism

That personal evangelism is a God-ordained duty for every believer. Each Christian is called to be a compassionate and fruitful soul winner. Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3.

XV. Marriage

That marriage is binding for life. Monogamy is God’s perfect will. Divorce and remarriage while the first companion lives are forbidden under the New Testament. Genesis 2:24; Malachi 2:14-16; Matthew 19:3-9; Romans 7:2-3.

XVI. The Rapture

That the Rapture is the catching away of all living saints and the resurrected dead in Christ, which will occur before the Great Tribulation. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; John 14:1-3.

XVII. Resurrection of the Dead

That all who have ever lived will be resurrected some to everlasting life, and others to everlasting shame. Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:4-6,12-13.

XVIII. Great Tribulation

That the Great Tribulation will occur after the Rapture a time of terrible suffering under the reign of the Antichrist. Matthew 24:21-22; Revelation 13; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.

XIX. Second Coming of Christ

That the Second Coming of Christ will be literal and visible, when He will execute judgment upon the ungodly and reign on earth. Zechariah 14:3-4; Matthew 25:31-46; Jude 14-15.
